HTC carries the largest selection of high-quality body jewelry in Arizona. The majority of our jewelry is made of 316LVM F-138 implant grade stainless steel, or 6AL4V ELI F-136 implant grade titanium, but we also have some of the finest in gold, glass and various types of organics (wood, amber, bone, horn, stone, etc) available.

HTC ONLY CARRIES INTERNALLY THREADED JEWELRY. HTC wants to ensure that your experience getting a piercing or just buying a new barbell is safe and fun. If you have any questions about our jewelry, or anything else, just give us a call!

For years HTC has used internally threaded jewelry exclusively. What's the difference between internally threaded and externally threaded jewelry, you ask? Internally threaded jewelry has a hole in the post, and the threads on the bead. This allows a smooth insertion, with no jagged metal coming in contact with your body. Externally threaded jewelry has a hole in the bead, and the threads on the post itself. This style requires rough threads to be drawn through the body for insertion or removal of the jewelry. It's a lot like running a very tiny cheese grater through your piercing. Obviously, this can cause a multitude of problems with fresh and even completely healed piercings.

Manufacturers of externally threaded jewelry tend to use lower grade materials, which can lead to metal reactions, slower healing times, and can sometimes cause a piercing to migrate or reject completely. When you get a piercing at HTC we want to help you avoid as many problems with your new piercing as possible, which is why we will only use quality jewelry that meets the standards put forth by the Association of Professional Piercers. Our body jewelry is made of the same grade metals used by physicians in medical applications such as bone splints and screws, insuring that it's safe for use INSIDE the body, and therefore safe for your piercing.

With body jewelry, much like everything else in life, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. The low quality of the manufacturing and materials used in externally threaded jewelry will undoubtedly make for a lower price tag, but what you save monetarily you will more than likely make up for in problems with your piercing.
